I think you've got the wrong forum - that should be in the "Horrors" section. It's barried with those lights (and alloys by the look of one of the pics).

" The car has a very slight vibration around 55mph which disappears at about 58mph. It's hardly noticeable. My garage tells me this may be due to the rear suspension being a little worn. The car would therefore benefit from some money being spent on it hence the low starting price. The extra set of deep dish alloy wheels shown in some of the car park photos will be included but require some attention. Unfortunately, I have a very limited budget and I’m just not able to give this lovely car the priority it deserves."
In other words, he bought the car, ran it on a shoestring and now can't afford to repair it.Worth £700 tops. If that.

Picked up a cheap snotter last night to run about in while my Octavia goes in for much needed suspension work.
2000 "X" reg Escort 1.6 Finesse 5 door. 80,000 miles, taxed and tested until June. Electric front windows, alloys, the aircon even seems to work! Drives well, no untoward noises or nasty rust.
£200.

I've been looking for a cheap roadster for this summer
How is it?
If it was my choice I would have a MX5 any day but, for what I paid for the mgf you cant really grumble. Its ok lacquer coming off on boot and wing, few little rust patches, drives ok. Will put it in for a years Mot should pass.I've been looking for a cheap roadster for this summer

Whats the latest scrap value these days???
The missus is getting a new company car next month and unsure what to do with her 2003 KA? Bodywork is a bit tatty, and interior is not brilliant and only 2 months MOT. I was tempted to chuck it through an MOT and see if it passes or not.
Looking at the prices on Autotrader and examples are going for £300 so wondering if its worth the hassle.

If you think it might pass then definitely worth chucking it through an MOT - just find an reputable garage which hopefully only charges £35 - 40. Tell them you are planning on scrapping or selling depending on the result and hopefully they won't look for jobs just to help them make money! No idea what scrap value is, but a KA won't weigh much - you can call a local scrappy and ask how much you'll get - it will be less if they come to pick it up than if you drop it off - so worth finding out before the MOT runs out!The missus is getting a new company car next month and unsure what to do with her 2003 KA? What I can never understand is these cars with very short MOTs. If I was selling a car for £500 with 2 months MOT left, I'd rather get a 12+ month ticket on it and charge £600 for it. These short MOTs always put me off. Along with those cars that just need "a £20 part fitting and 30 minutes of your time". Why not do that beforehand and bump up the price an extra £75.
Always puts me off.

Though you would be surprised what a well advertised KA can actually go for. Perfect first car etc etc

CatC old BMW with an average engine and an unknown problem that could be anything from 50p to £500 to fix.
The owner seems to be attracted to shiny things like most of the Barry Crew. Putting those headlights and wheels on that car should be a capital offence. The lights/stereo/wheels etc are all very bad signs.
£500-700 tops, and that's a gamble.

I'm rather tempted by this, since it's not too far away:
1998 Mazda Xedos 9 auto, 2.5 V6, claimed 66k miles and 11 months MOT for £450 ono. "Needs suspension link on passenger front, still drives fine though" is about as bad as the advert gets.
I had the faster, worryingly more complex 2.3 Miller supercharged version for 7 years. Lovely car. Leather, lots of toys. Very few around now. Over £25k when new. Might be worth a look.1998 Mazda Xedos 9 auto, 2.5 V6, claimed 66k miles and 11 months MOT for £450 ono.
