It really is, there isn't a spot or mark on it. It still smells new.

Not sure really. It's an E240 so not the most popular. It was on ebay but I went to view it, had cash and that was it really. thumbup I was lucky on this count I think.

That's stunning!!

I've been in awe of your bargain basement motoring choices ever since that lovely snot-green 190E you had a while back. But I think this takes it to a new level.

Top, top work! The W211 is much nicer than an E60 or C6.

Was very close to buying this morning, but decided not to. Think I should've just gone for it.

Nice Volvo!
Gruber, it's a Bluetooth thing that acts as a handsfree phone and audio for tunes on the phone. Good bit of kit really. About £20 from Amazon.

Official title it's an 'mpow streambot'

It's a really good bit of kit. You 'mate' it with a frequency on the car audio and that's it really, press the 'missile lock' button on the top to make and receive calls, or play tunes and that's it. thumbup

You made the right call. That looks like it's been a taxi in the past,

Perhaps, but can't have been for long.

As a shed to chuck bikes in and throw away when it dies I think it would've been spot on. Would've probably had to chop in the Merc to avoid double-barging!

I've been looking a lot at Volvo estates recently, particularly the V70, though some of the older ones come up too. I think if that was a taxi, it didnt do much, it seems a lot of Volvos have big big miles on them. In a way, it's reassuring, in another annoying as they seem to hold their value with upwards of 175k on the clocks.

I'm undecided at the moment whether to go for a V70 (I've seen a few in 2.4T guise which look OK) or something more mundane and diesel for cheaper running.

The idea of a V70 or 960 appeals becuase they're a bit different, but they cost a lot to tax on post 2001, they're not massively economical, and the load hatch area isnt as big as some others. But they are comfy and go on forever.

Vs, something like a C5 HDi estate which is cheaper to buy, lower miles, bit blander, not quite as comfy and could be a bit pricey when things fall off. I think repair bills would be similar, they both fail, they just fail in different areas
