The cretin probably spent a fair bit doing it as well.

Wow, looks like it would be a great thing to waft around in (even tho' it's a Spanish), for less than the price of the cheapest iPhone 6. Shame I don't really need a wafter!

Usually code for everything is fudged.

I am on the lookout for a e46 330i touring for thread or close to thread budget.

If any of you chaps see one or close (328/325) please free feel to post or pm me.
I looked at a few last year and in the 1000-1500 price bracket they were all dogs, with a surprising amount of rust.

Short MOT, but 12 main dealer stamps. Worth a punt for the money, Shirley?

This is what i've been finding as well.. Moved on to looking for a nice t5 volvo or a saab 9 5 aero hot (both in estate form)....still struggling slightly to find something that isn't too far away and worth looking at!

Yes, you'd have thought if it was going to pass he'd have had it MOT'd....You can get an MOT for under £40 at Halfords.

Exactly this. If you can't be bothered to spend the equivalent of half a tank of fuel putting a ticket on it, what else can't he be bothered about?

It's not 'uber cheap' either.

I would recommend avoiding a Halfords MOT like the plague. I made that mistake once and it was a total nightmare. Council MOT stations are pretty good and about the same price.

Epic find.

At a grand it's a bit of fun and a practical, if thirsty, motor.

Surely a money pit though? Elderly VAG stuff creates enough problems without being a W8 to boot!

There is not a bargepole in the land, nor a stty stick, with which I would deign to touch that.

Bit less of a risk then, and more class than modern Audis...
