This is too good to be confined to the 1-5 thread.

That's a really well-written ad, and a nice-looking car. Great colour too.

Interesting that he's struggling to sell it at shed money. The car for a grand, a few hundred cleaning and smartening, and that would be a cracking ever-lasting runabout.

I sent a PM about this this morning... It looks like a great value buy! I'm apprehensive as my mum had an old 190E about ten years ago and it was nothing but trouble but then again it wasn't the best example

Damn.. I hate being poor, I really do. Anyone want an mx5?! I fancy a Swedish turbo 'family car'.

There are of course no guarantees, but he's had lots of important work done and they're generally pretty reliable old things.

Lots of expertise on the 1-5 thread if you get it and have questions. Good luck!

Thanks, I'm tempted, fed up with modern cars especially diesels so I'm waiting for his reply

Not sure on this one, but someone may be local, or have the means to put it through an MOT.

IS200 for £400.

http://www.gumtree.com/p/lexus/lexus-is200-/110916...
Looks rough and not really the right kind of previous owner either
To give that any chance of selling he really should be documenting what it failed its MOT for. Is it £700 of parts to get it through, or £700 at a Lexus dealer. Big difference.
Alright. Just forget my suggestion of that IS200. It's a bad one. laugh

The driveway and the house suggested to me it might be a lazy owner who takes it to Lexus, hence the £700 quote, but I'm probably wrong.
