Will this house purchase / renovation actually permanently reduce your ability to buy / do anything fun?

If so, why would you do that?!
Are you suggesting bargeonomics isn't fun?
Hmm. Dunno if "fun" is the right word, but no, I'm not suggesting that at all.

Checked that 190e out. Interior in good condition, one rear window is a bit temperamental and the AC and sunroof even work. Only thing I wasn't sure of was a pulling to the left. I'm not sure if this is the camber and set up of the car. Didn't have to fight it and didn't notice it after a while, but it would move itself if o let go of the wheel.

The car started from cold and the auto box was smooth. Leisurely car to drive and it does have a certain charm to it.

Nothing wild, but it's always fun to go on a collection trip and try something new.

lol the dirty great LPG tank in the back reduces it's versatility somewhat.

Quite horrendous actually.
Shame - I'd be on that otherwise hehe
Nice car with massive spec, but it's not the cheapest to maintain even doing it yourself.

Looking back at the mbclub thread now it seems someone made contact with the vendor who appears to be of the jolly jape school of marketing - selling price is £2999

Me too - well any 9-5 estate would do - isn't it recommended to avoid the aero auto?

News to me. I nearly bought one 6 months ago and didn't hear anything to this effect when I was scoping them out. It was mapped to 270 and drove well (torque steer aside) with the box being pretty smooth. In fact I was glad it was an auto as if gave me two hands on the wheel to try and keep it in a straight line smile

The part may be £10, but if he doesn't know how to fit it, it's suddenly a lot more to get done.

bargain, take it from me, you will not regret it, just check the history and ask if the sump has been checked for sludging, if not factor it in to your bartering....then map it

What is the 3.0TiD v6 engine in the 9-5 like? Cambelt? Borkfest?

Only 9-5 estate near me under £2k that looks decent has this engine.

As far as I am aware it is to be avoided in the 9-5, something about bore liner problems.

Think it is meant to be fine in the Vectra C though.

I'm the furthest from a mk4 Golf fan, but it looks clean and with the price open to offers, you can't complain.

Slower than slow, but understressed, NA/petrol/manual, and one owner at under £500 - hard to go wrong really!

This looks a lot of car for the money!
