Unless that has Huge flared arches on the front it has a bit more than front bumper damage. If it has sump damage you also have to wonder if the car stalled before all the oil poured out or if the hair dresser sat there with the engine running. I don't think there would be much of a profit in that by the time your done.

Blimey that's cheap for a e90, well done sir and thank you for the kind comments.

As a shed update, today it's in at the specialist getting new rear pads discs and shoes and getting the electricals checked as the radio works but the display doesn't come on. Aside from that it's lovely.

My 120d coupe is in for a service right now and they've loaned me a brand new X1. It is an absolute dog of a car. Can't believe anyone could spend 25k plus on one.

Bargain Basement car round 2 for me, another blind buy . Having owned the MG ZT since January 2013, I've always wanted an XJ as my next car to try out something big, soft and automatic, so I recently stuck a bid in on one and won it. It's a 1994 XJ6 3.2, £565 and collecting it on Tuesday (as long as it's as described). The description was quite sparse on details and the photos aren't great, but I wanted a blue one and I wanted to spend less than £600. It has 115k miles, which is fairly low for the age.

Mostly apprehensive at the moment, as is to be expected with buying blind. I'm expecting it to be a bit sheddy (the seller used the classic 'good condition for age'), but as long as it drives alright with no nasty knocks or gearbox issues, it'll be mine!



I'm not looking forward to selling my MG, and I actually feel quite bad since it's been so good to me and I've enjoyed owning it thoroughly. I wouldn't want much at all for it given its sheddiness, but I reckon it'll be a bit difficult to sell, likely attracting 'wots ur best price 4 cash m8?' sorts

Just the standard saloon, 190hp 2.5 V6, there's a photo of it in my profile. a ZT-T V8 is still a car I really want to own at some point. There's something about a mustang V8 with a manual box in a RWD estate that's so incredibly appealing.

Still think the 3dr and cabriolet 306 are a great design in phase 1 and 3 form.

From a real purple patch for Peugeot. Shame some of their design methods were so backward...

Sadly I can only see that 318 being bought to slide or to have M\\\ badges emblazoned all over it. sad.

The cheap price of my E90 was mainly due to the fact that it's RHD and was for sale here in Germany. Nobody wanted it, despite the vendor having reregistered it on German plates (no small exercise, I've done it myself in the past). Hence it was about half the price of the equivalent LHD saloon. Fine by me!

I might put up a thread on Reader's Cars but it's just so boring, dunno if anyone would be interested.

Quick update on my 316 touring. New pads discs and handbrake shoes plus new battery and new rear light bulb. £400 for all the bits and labour and oem parts and she's running beautifully with no warning lights at all. New dog approved of the boot space with his bed in the back. Total cost £1500 for the car and the work plus some tax.

That 306 cab would be a fantastic summer car, it's a genuinely nice looking thing also. I do wonder how much being a cabriolet has effected the legendary 306 handling though?

Budget dependant an Aero will be 230, 250 or 260 bhp as standard. £500 takes you to stage 3 which is just shy of 300bhp. I've seen low 40's in mine with the cruise set at 60 on the motorway, that said my average is 21mpg. They're comfortable and the mid range grunt is fantastic.
