Be prepared if you do buy one. They get under your skin. I bought mine on a total Whim and its just brilliant and the perfect partner to my E36 Cabrio. Those days when you cant be arsed with a rag top and cant be arsed with a harsh ride and noisy exhaust. The S124 is just perfect. Big armchairs, huge boot, decent performance, great looks - imo!
Depressed to say, as soon as I've helped the GF move in a few weeks and my M3 has sold i'll be selling my 124.
Really cant decide on a price?
1990, 300TE24, cast iron sink a ship levels of history. Even the original PDI sheet!!! 214,000 miles. Has a small amount of rust on every arch - I have a spare wing for the worst bit but wrong colour.
I am in the same position-need to sell my W124 but prices are all over the place. Mine has rusty front wings too but otherwise is totally solid, 1 previous owner, massive history, 95k miles etc. Don't want to give it away as it is a fabulous car that has got completely under my skin. They really are stunning cars IMO-so comfortable and as well made as anything out there.Depressed to say, as soon as I've helped the GF move in a few weeks and my M3 has sold i'll be selling my 124.

Although that was a genuine question. Prices are all over the place. You can pick them up for £750 or you get dealers asking 4-5-6-all the way up for £7000. All similar cars.
I didn't see this until after the end of the auction: Toyota Soarer V8 - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121647563097
It's the UZZ32 model with active suspension and 4-wheel steering, so it's either a bargain price for one of only 873 examples of Toyota's technical tour de force, or it's 900 quid wasted on a potential bork-fest which is understood by a handful of people in the world and is built of parts that are no longer available.

Apologies if it is a silly question, but how do you know it is a UZZ32?It's the UZZ32 model with active suspension and 4-wheel steering, so it's either a bargain price for one of only 873 examples of Toyota's technical tour de force, or it's 900 quid wasted on a potential bork-fest which is understood by a handful of people in the world and is built of parts that are no longer available.

"Looks and drive immaculate, HENCE P/X TO CLEAR,"
sense, it makes none
Bargainous if it's not fked though
People seem to replicate car ad language because they feel that's what they have to say. 'hence p/x to clear' and 'here we have a...' on eBay are in almost every adsense, it makes none
Bargainous if it's not fked though

Indeed! I have been looking for a nice E34 Touring - that one is the same colour as my last touring which was a 525i SE auto that I used doing up our current house about 5 years ago. I've had a 525 auto saloon since too, that I bought for £550 after being posted on the Best barge 1-5k thread! Shame that one is in Kent.
Now if someone could find a me a 525i Spanish Touring I'd travel to the end of the country for that!
Also, this made me laugh

Did they really issue an ignition lock recall on 20 year old cars?!jas xjr said:

I seem to remember it was not that long ago VW recalled MK1 Golfs because there was a possibility the heater matrix could dump hot water on the passengers legs.
Had my 1990 mk2 golf gti done in 2001. The car was a 19900a said:

A family friend recently had a recall on an early E46 compact - so I guess it's possible! How well do Mercedes W203s take mileage?
I've seen a manual 2002 C200k Estate with 160k on the clock locally for just over thread budget - it has had adjustable koni suspension and springs on it, which would usually make me run away, but at least the suspension has been refreshed!
I can't see any rust on the pictures.

It looks exactly what I wanted - hopefully it's as good as it sounds and someone else on here can benefit!
