No it was a private sale via Pistonheads £950 listed - it needs a new front badge hence the massive 5% drop to £900 selling price .
It now has a new badge, working aircon, new boot cushions/catches to remove a squeaking sound, new wheel centre caps and may get a seat repair for a small tear.
Must stop fixing it up.....
Shedding done properly! It now has a new badge, working aircon, new boot cushions/catches to remove a squeaking sound, new wheel centre caps and may get a seat repair for a small tear.
Must stop fixing it up.....
Shedding is NOT fixing things - someone here christened it better than I as "organised retreat" - fixing things is restoration or even preservation! ;0

Not even run in yet, strong as an ox, galvanised body, and a lovely five-pot warble.

My Dad was recently given a running 90 Quattro, no MOT but doesn't look too bad.

Bought this as a £900 interim - T Sport 190
Actually quite fun, must resist the urge to improve it.
One of the rare occasions where 'aircon just needs a regas' is true - had a mostly empty can from a previous shed, 5mins later and ice cold A/C.
Would love to see a readers cars thread for this! I've seen a lot for sale with a high number of miles on (140k+) at some very good prices, which would suggest that they wear them well.Actually quite fun, must resist the urge to improve it.

Good home needed for Rover 620 SLi For Sale (1995)
I have the rather sad job of finding a good home for my late father’s much cherished Rover. It’s a 620 SLi saloon, petrol, manual, first registered 02.01.1995, and current mileage is 79,300 miles. The registration is M 97 MOV, and it’s finished in Nightfire Red, with Windsor Granite Upholstery.
Dad bought it in February 1996 with just 5,870 miles on the clock, as a worthy successor to his two previous cars, which were both Rover P6s. I have the full service history from then on, with the last service done in July 2013 at 77,296 miles. The timing belt was changed at 65,353 miles; this is recorded in the service history, and also on the camshaft cover where the engineer’s signature and date are clear! (Stuart of Central Garage, Brecon.) Recent new parts include exhaust box and tail-pipe (December 2013) and new clutch master cylinder (January 2013).
I’ve started and run it regularly – once the battery’s charge is topped up the engine starts at first turn of the key, and purrs away beautifully. (It’s a two litre Honda unit, I believe).
As a former wartime Sunderland pilot, Dad was always a pretty good driver, but I think not quite so good at judging distances in recent years, so there were a few close encounters with the narrow gate and awkward turn into his house – all repaired apart from the most recent little scrape (offside front – see photos). The driver’s door window isn’t working properly – I understand they can become misaligned, and you’ll see from the photos that there’s a worn patch on the side of the driver’s seat, and the exterior plastic trim strip is missing on the near side. I think that’s all of the bad news. The tyres are all good, and it has a new MOT from 11th January this year; it just needed the handbrake adjusting to get a pass.

I'd keep the scrape just to be able to point at it and say "That was done by a bloke who flew a Sunderland.". Ad said:

As you said though at that price it could be worth a shout
