Not so nice dent in that 206.
The picture was taken in Bexhill and you would be lucky to find a dent free car here... The local sainburys car park reminds me of destruction derby so if I go shopping I normally park up a mile or two away rather than risk getting it hit. Lol

If any PHers in the south east are interested, I know this 2002 Civic 1.6 could be had for £350.

It's not perfect by any means, but drives well and has MOT until the end of November. Has recently had a new driveshaft. ABS light is on but I think this was due to it being towed with a snapped driveshaft with the engine on so it probably just needs the codes cleared.

Mmmm, never looked at these before, I like it too.

The rear arches are visibly rusty though - any care to hazard a guess as to what that might cost to sort out?

Most DPFs will be pretty knackered by that age, French or not.

the dpf is pretty stable and can be cleaned with a jet washer. it is the system around it, which can be removed and a the dpf hollowed out.

That's probably what it scraps for at a scrapyard, the price of metal has come down a lot in the last 6 months

Nice use of duct-tape there

There are not many cars sub 1k that do 40mpg easily and have 180bhp, 300lb torque.

This is my third one I like working on pegeuots and this engine responds well to a remap. I can do it myself for 100 quid which I might do but there is a guy on a forum that does a job lot for 300 quid.
Not a bad buy for £500, I had a 406 coupe with the same engine and had it remapped and removed the EGR and DPF myself, it made such a difference.
If you are anywhere near Gloucestershire then I have the diagnostics kit for this, but it sounds like you may well have it already. Also a user called 'Finchy' on the 406 coupe club is the guy who did the remap on mine. He may well be the guy you are on about in your post above!

yep that is the guy. I am not sure thou a hdituning offer a good remap and I can DIY the remap, done it before.

I also had a 2.2 hdi coupe which was a good car, this 406 is not without faults. The ride is a bit bouncy and turbo is very loud, but having been away from these cars I am not sure yet.

the 2.2 hdi is a dying breed due to all the complexities.

Anyone for a sheddy but seemingly intact and straight E38 735i?

£650 for that looks a bit of a bargain. A few spots of rust and it's on less flashy, smaller wheels now, but it's a lot of car for the money.

Erm...

I'm going to say that there's a bit of an offset issue...
