A farmer with farmers?

I suspect I've seen that Jag advert before. I recognise the rust in the wing, and the £1K SoTW V8 S-Type may have had me looking.

No service history however
Conscious that I may be a wet blanket here but the equivalent is going quite a bit more elsewhere.

I'd be running a mile, tbh.

Either that or I'm spending too much time on UKSaabs!

600 quid for a 355bhp Saab in Bungay, Norfolk.

I'm half heartedly looking for a shed/cheap runabout and it's 20 miles away but surely this would be a bit of a money pit...

Nice motor that 75, good buy and I hope it serves you well.

I'm going to have a look for one myself I think!

A Volvo V40 has caught my eye. It's a 2003 2.0t, looks like the lux spec. Only thing is it's an auto and I've irrationally avoided Volvo autos due to the flare issue in older models. Will this car have one of those boxes, or is that issue limited to S60s and V70s?
Any other thoughts on the V40 2.0t? It's the lpt version, about 170bhp.

Alfa 166 3.0 for £750? Looks nice and seller seems honest about the condition.

If you're in BB land, then you are surely paying under £1k. I've had autobox problems with my S60 and it's not got any worse in the last 12 months of ownership. Assuming it passes its MOT in a few weeks' time, I will keep it for another 12 months and get a few things sorted.

If it fails the MOT and is costly to get it fixed, then I'll scrap it and buy another BB car.

On the hunt for a new shed because my Skoda Felicia is dying of terminal rust

Less than £500
Petrol and bombproof
Estate is nice

Not really asking much I know hehe

Saw a Laguna I estate earlier for £400 with a year's test, 2.0 petrol. Not sure it meets the bombproof criteria but it must be better than a Laguna II

Not sure you can be reliable, petrol estate for under £500.

Just pick anything within 10 miles that when you get to looks/goes ok.

Not a bad price until you read that bit about the gearbox!

https://www.gumtree.com/p/volvo/volvo-v70-t5-estat...

Depends how bad the slippage is, though - might be a bargain if it lasts a year and it's only vaguely causing a problem.

I was with you there, until I noticed it's nearly out of MoT. Too risky.

Wonder if you could pay for a new MOT before purchase.

The guy spelt "sought after" correctly so it can't be that bad surely?
