The £999 Celica has its MOT on Monday.
In the 7000 miles since purchase I have spent £25 on servicing it, £120 on modifying it and £80 on repairing it (New MAF sensor). best car I've ever bought.
Now, watch if fail spectacularly.
I really fancy one of these. Might go for it when the 306 dies. Not that I want it to ever die, because I love it.In the 7000 miles since purchase I have spent £25 on servicing it, £120 on modifying it and £80 on repairing it (New MAF sensor). best car I've ever bought.

I was very fond of my 306, celica is certainly more nimble and has more grip than the 306 but not much can touch the 306 for balance and steering!Celica passed with 4 advisories time to treat her to some new oil and plugs!

Not sure if it is still available but saw this one a couple of days ago. Seems a steal at £600, especially if you could brighten up the paintwork

Failed a previous MOT because the number plates were missing. Why would you do that and think it would pass?http://www.budgetmotorscaerphilly.co.uk/used-cars/...

Not 100% perfect, but ad seems honest and car looks good from this side, anyway Probably cheap enough!

I bought one of these in November (see my other posts)! Great car and a good price too. I paid £850 for mine but it had issues and others for sale are nearer the £2k mark albeit with lower miles. I'd be worried about the gearbox with that mileage though as they are known to be weak and mine is on its way out at a much lower mileage of £96k.

Uncle once bought a few cars for blocking his garage front from ram raiders. One of them was a B reg Volvo 340 GL. It was spotless, only 80,000 miles on it. Grand some of £30! Some old dodder had it since new I believe. Wasn't so mint after it had done a few doughnuts. If it was still mint now (or even if it wasn't scrapped) I'd buy it in a second
Anyone fancy a 1 owner Mazda Xedos 6?
Nice colour too.

Low mileage Xedos 9, no advisories either. Would no doubt take under a grand. It isn't the supercharged version, but easier to maintain. About £28k when new.

All that boasting about how great the celica was has bit me on the arse!
Pull onto the A5 (trying car out after changing spark plugs) and it felt really sluggish, 'bugger', I thought 'the new plugs are wrong'
But then when I pull up the lights the car seems to brake on its own, diving to the front right.
So yes, front right calliper seized, brake disc so hot it went dull red (whats that, 700 degrees for cast iron to go dull red?), dammit.
Good news is a rebuild kit is £15 or a pagid calliper is £60, bad news is the disc/pad/potentially wheel bearing are kaput.

Seen cars catch fire this way. You were lucky sir!Pull onto the A5 (trying car out after changing spark plugs) and it felt really sluggish, 'bugger', I thought 'the new plugs are wrong'

Radiated heat from the disc melted the nearby wiring loom. Caused an electrical fire

Without breaking rules, I might know of a 1 owner 2004 Fiat Multipla with 67k miles, new clutch, new battery, roof bars, tow bar etc going cheap....
No MOT (not submitted in December), 4 good tyres, starts on the button, located near to Hull.
£350 would take it away. Likely back on the road for <£500 and its bloody brilliant for transporting stuff and handles better than you might imagine.
Petrol or diesel? What does it need for MOT?Without breaking rules, I might know of a 1 owner 2004 Fiat Multipla with 67k miles, new clutch, new battery, roof bars, tow bar etc going cheap....
