500 quid SportKa, anyone? With leather and in the right colour (the lovely metallic blue).

11 month MOT as well. (Although it failed on a *lot* in September...)

I might be needing a new fun shed shortly as my 306 GTi-6 just failed its MOT and I'm waiting on them pricing up the work... if it's too pricey then it's either this or a £250 Puma to replace it.
Bargain!! Love mine (54 plate in panther black) was a great little go kart till the battery died and I had to leave it on the A19 and it was gutted by thieves in under 2hrs

Mine's going to be going up and down the A19 every day, I won't be leaving it there then!

My concern is the MOT failure list on this from September, but if that's all been fixed and it's gone through the test last month then it might be a good 'un. Must've cost a small fortune to get through, mind.

Does the SportKa have problems with rust, like the Puma?
If 'tis the same as a standard Ka then yes. In spades. With knobs on.
Sills. Petrol filler. Sills. Base of A pillars. Sills,

The one I posted has indeed had MOT advisories for sill rot and has a couple other patches of rot now.

That was my understanding as well, which given the similarities in practicality between the two, is there any reason to choose a Sport Ka over a similar priced Puma?

I'm only asking as I've never driven a Sport Ka, whilst I've driven a few (1.7) Pumas and that engine/gearbox/chassis combo is just cloud9

Whilst it's currently cheap - why would anyone want it ?

The later models are more reliable, it's not sporty nor fast so surly you'd want it as a wafty Auto ?

Having owned 1 KA, 2 SportKA's, 1 StreetKA and Puma....

SportKA and KA rust badly. Especially on fuel filler caps and sills.

Pumas still rust but in less structural places....

StreetKA seems surprisingly good rust wise so far - but is fundamentally a hateful thing

Sport KA and Puma are both great fun - but the puma is significantly better to drive in my opinion - 90% of which is due to the engine

My need is for a cheap occasional-use big 2nd car. It'll spend the vast majority of its time parked up, sometimes in places where it'll be at risk of knocks. The other use will be the occasional long run with camping/scuba gear.

Either way I'll be looking at a big, reliable cheap snotter, ideally one that doesn't get noticed . It'll do nicely.

It was going well until they opened a door on those seats...
In a weird way I like those seats. They seem very in keeping with France in the late 90s!
My sixth form French teacher was French and had an identical Saxo. The link in my mind is very strong

I emailed the seller last week about this car - received no response so can assume it had already gone.

£425 Bogner

Looks good to me
I've always had a soft spot for these they did one in a sort of bright lime green which I always thought looked good.
Very handsome in a simple, well proportioned way. Would make a fantastic runabout, shame I don't need it...
Picked this up a couple of weeks ago. Been a bargain basement lurker for a while and couldn't resist this one. Always wanted a cheap runaround and with my 2 years ncd nearly up I thought it was time. Great drive back (120 miles) and has been great fun since.

Well done I would have bought it is was a bit closer. Looked like a very nice car and good luck can't really go wrong at that price.
