Anyone ever took a punt and had a dealer deliver a car to you unseen?

I don't have time to go car shopping and found one on paper which is great, especially for 300 under shed budget, but can you trust any car dealer?

What can go too far wrong with a boring petrol jap saloon which has had lots of servicing and new tyres in the last year? Dealer seems honest about condition but who knows without seeing it.

I suppose it's like a buy it now on eBay without the option to reject the car if it's not as described because they'll presumably ask payment up front.

What a steal! The MOT history is very good too.

Someone needs to buy that. If anyone is close and wants to buy it for me, then I'll happily give you some cash for doing so.
That looks far too good to be true. - £335?!?! - I paid more for my last MOT.

I may drop him a message, it's a bit far from me though, I'd spend 50% again on a train ticket.

Yes, last year I bought a 91' Honda Legend Coupe of eBay unseen, it was delivered to me on the back of recovery lorry.

Luckily, it was just as the seller had described

There is an X-reg Volvo V50 near me for £800. I don't know details as I spotted it on my way home today.

If anyone is interested in me finding out more, I can nip down to get the registration and the mobile number in the window.

Eta, I'm in Shropshire

As an X-reg that'll be a V40 I'd have thought? Can be quite decent cars nonetheless, I think the 1.8GDi petrol is to be avoided though, but can't remember why...

Shiply.com will get you anything delivered, quite a lot of dealers now seem to offer delivery on anything and I'm guessing they either have a mate who does it or use a website like this and charge for it

I thought V40 at first. I must have got confused with another model. It's the estate anyway, in a kind of turquoise.

I haven't seen the badges so I don't know which engine. I just caught a glimpse. It looked OK and it was on alloys but that's all I know

Really tempting. 3 barges would probably be a bit much though.

That is insane VFM. I do love a nice lazy V6 barge. If I was in the market for my annual car change I'd be on that like a cheap we.

It's not a car I could ever imagine wanting a manual in though.

Good point.. For that money though I reckon I could live with it! Had that engine in the mk4 golf and it was nicely suited to a manual box but that was obviously a much smaller car.

On closer inspection though, is there wheel nuts missing?!

I've bought a few unseen. Not all sheds prices though.

2012:- Jag' XJR8 Vendor drove it 100 miles to me. which was a horror for me but the guy that bought it off me has had no issues with it whatsoever.

2013:- Merc W220. Vendor drove it 400 miles to me. Absolute peach of a car. Only sold it a couple of weeks ago. (Only because my Wife wouldn't drive it. Otherwise I'd have kept it till it rusted away.)

2015:- Ford F350 American pickup. Vendor drove it 300 miles to me. It's a shed but the guy drove it all the way from Derby so figured if it managed that it'd be OK. It's great fun.

2016:- Vx Omega MV6. Bought it on Ebay as a BIN. Nice car, far from perfect but it's a keeper.

I've bought much worse even having viewed the vehicle in question!
