Ready to go reliable motoring for 500 notes
That Avensis is not mine but I have been involved with it. A guy was due to view today and never showed up. So it's still available and it's got years of life left in it.
Thread purchase! A lovely cherished car, a credit to its owners. Picking up on Sunday, will post some photos then. After a week from motoring hell involving selling my beloved LS400 to a nice bloke in Canvey Island, only to find the LS430 I was going to buy had a Stevie Wonder repair to the door that he'd conveniently forgotten to mention, followed by a long train journey home and various adventures in the nether regions of the used car market. I bought a Puma on Saturday purely because it worked and I needed to get to work. But I need a bigger car than a Puma. So an old loved Avensis it is! Anyone want a (relatively) rust free Puma?
That is genuinely a brilliant buy.

I bought this back in 2013 for £850 with 100k on the clock. It was maybe £100 too dear but it had 12 months MOT, 6 Months Tax and 2 previous owners. It's also a rare colour.

It is now on 186,000 miles and we've never had a "failure to proceed". Change the oil regularly (it is honestly a doddle - I'd never done a car before this one) and keep on top of jobs. I said this over on another forum, but it really is all the car you will ever, ever need.

Can I have first dibs on it if/when you sell? Even if it's in a couple of years? Well looked after cars are difficult to find.

Being sold by an illiterate, too. Always a sign of a badly maintained and driven councillist car.

That is a lovely colour! It's such a pleasure to deal with decent people after recent experience. The Avensis is very nice. Interior is like new. Clutch, service, battery and cambelt in last 1000 miles. All main dealer history. GLS so nice stereo, working air con, sunroof (doesn't slide, does tilt). Chap having to give up driving due to ill health.

I'm looking to buy my LS 400 back (I know!) at some point in the next few months. So yes, would be happy to give you first dibs. Will post up photos tomorrow 😀

Anyone know of a cheap auto in the South West? My other half has just had an operation on her left leg and so can't drive her 2002 manual golf (that she's had for 9 years). Thanks.

What a steal! The MOT history is very good too.

Someone needs to buy that. If anyone is close and wants to buy it for me, then I'll happily give you some cash for doing so.
That looks far too good to be true. - £335?!?! - I paid more for my last MOT.

I may drop him a message, it's a bit far from me though, I'd spend 50% again on a train ticket.
Unless it's a scam, but I can't see why for so little gain, this is still for sale and now only £220!

I would have taken that as I need a new snotter for my mother, but alas it appears it is sold.

That was on tbh bargain basement thread a couple of moths ago for 300quid. Razy goodvalye - especially at the 200 quid it probably sold for...

Well I wouldn't say that.

As a car that'll do anything you ask whilst being very friendly on the pocket, it is excellent though.
