Not that it matters on a £345 car, but the MOT history shows some erratic mileages recorded around 2006/2007. Although I'm sure the first one (512,642 miles) is a typo

April 2006 = 512,642 miles
June 2007 = 74,889 miles
July 2007 = 60,095 miles

I've been saying for ages that if my Astra blows up or something, I will pick up one of these with a long MOT for this sort of money.

Last week I was offered one for £200 with MOT until July and pretty local to me. I would've gone to pick it up that afternoon out of principle but I was boarding a plane at Stansted

That looks rather lovely, though I'd be nervous about less than 2 months MOT left, even though it passed with no advisories last time and it's only done 1,000 miles since ...

I wonder how well that engine copes with a turbo?

I thought these had cooling issues when N/A (IIRC something to do with the minimal liner thickness for an engine massively overbored from its original design)

Looks tidy enough and the engines are bulletproof. If it was nearer and I had a use for it I think I'd be tempted.

Because changing the interior on a £1000 car is the first thing on everyone's mind isn't it!

Tbh it is eadier said then done. There are pitfalls, airbag issues and electrical issues.
Over time can change size slightly, well the trim. I would do it but only from a trustworthy source and non electric seats. It is a pain in the arse when you find at nearly the end the electrics are fubared
