How about this? Surely bid them £800-900 and it'll be yours, cheap motor.

This close to Christmas, 2.4 and weighs about 2 tons... I'd be wading in in full Mike Brewer spec.

Good cars, can get dear if you gets one with niggles and you feel the urge to fix them... I had a 2001 T5 a couple of years back, I think it owed me £400 time it was bought and MOT'd, bodged it along with scrapyard bits for 20k and sold it a year later for £800.00.

Sadly such bargains are harder to find these days it seems!

Haha fair play. Even if you could get it for £700-800 might be a good buy though as they do last don't they!
The little niggles do happen, my 1998 V70R had the same little things going wrong but bigger picture, they last. Solid cars.

Has anyone posted this 328i E46 touring yet? It was in the barge thread but is <£1000 and seems like a lot of car for the money.

With Initiale spec, at least it'll be a comfy place to sit whilst you await recovery wink

Our next door but one neighbour runs a diesel Laguna (similar vintage, but not Initiale), and I've never seen him with the bonnet up, so maybe the later models aren't quite as bad as internet folklore would have you believe. Is it a facelift?

They aren't, but the early ones deserve the reputation. They really were a cluster fk of a design.
