I hate adverts that use TLC, if it was easy they would have used it.
I find 'TLC' to be code for 'ste loads of welding'

Update:

That's a shame, anything serious?

I hope not.

That's the same colour as the 2.0 I once owned.
A simple problem but a nightmare to fix: the factory fitted immobiliser is on. Been trying to work out how to sort it for two weeks and today, thanks to a fellow PHer, it's off to a place in Cheshire (from Devon) to be un immobilised. Other than that, it has been running great and we've been really happy with it.
And......it's back. A broken wire and a dodgy key sensor sorted and back to enjoying 3.0 V6 shedding. Vroooooom smile

Surely that's only worth scrap value? 'Not pretty' is an understatement - it's a shed.

No chance. Anything with a 1.9tdi in it is worth something.

Sold a 280k mile Passat with the 1.9tdi engine in it for £350 this year and that was in similar condition.

I can't believe it passed an mot without any advisories after being laid up. I think it is a dog and he is getting rid.

Apparently it did. (well almost!)

MOT history of this vehicle
Test date: 21 April 2016
Expiry date: 20 April 2017
Test Result: Pass
Odometer reading: 88,803 miles
MOT test number: 2271 3999 8457
Advisory notice item(s): front brake discs slightly corroded

Looks fine to me.

those dents should be an advisory at the least, it smells fishy to me, but good luck to whoever buys it, interior looks nice.

I think someone will do well with this Vectra GSi for £480 (sorry, it's sold already so unhelpful - I would've bid on it myself but I've been out all day and forgot)

In a similar note heres a Merc S500 that went for £740 which required a little work. Seems to be bargains on sale at the moment.

About to not sell - 0 bids at £500. High miler but 12 months MOT for this money can't be bad, shirley? It looks like it's been polished to within an inch of its life!

That's not too bad. I was expecting epic rust rather than fairly minor and easy fixes. I'm no good at car maintenance but even I'd do most of that myself

True, so if you called it about £1600 all in, it seems like a nice car for the money.

£600 max to sort that lot out if it's DIY - still a cheap S500 with a year's ticket!
