Where are you looking? There are loads of cars on AT if you extend the distance out a little.
30 odd miles around PE11 postcode (Spalding). Going to extend the search radius later. smile

Currently have car, so can travel. Would be good to get something sorted this weekend. Accidentally went to Duxford today so havent got a lot done on the car front. smile

@funkyrobot

Also consider a Skoda estate - I ran a 1.8T for a while and apart from the soft suspension, it was a nice car overall.

Reliable and cheap to run as well.
In the list. wink

Take a look at mazda 6 estates too, should have s similar sized boot to a octavia but go for peanuts at the moment. They do like to rust though...
Will do.

Owned a 2007 3 Sport for six years so know a little about the 6's. smile

Just in case you don't believe me, as I have had doubters on here

Why would anyone make up a story about them getting rid of a POS £100 Saab
But this is slightly different though as it had been standing and didn't have an MOT for a couple of years ? People don't normally touch a cheap car without an MOT, don't have a way of transporting it and would cost a bit to get it moved and then risk an MOT failure ?
Should have been bought for bits though.

Saab 93 Turbo 2.0T

Had full leather interior, previous owner fitted some mint genuine Saab alloys, had a huge stack of paperwork including a £3000 bill for work done in 2010, had small rust patch n/s f wheelarch. Previous owner also fitted an aftermarket stereo which sounded great and did the LCD display.

I listed it up for £300, no one called
3 weeks later, £200. Had 2 offers, both for £50 which is fking ridiculous

So in the end 2 months later the scrapman came and took it away for £75. Fed up with it, as it was a shocking drive and no one wanted it. I should of took the alloys but I took the stereo anyway

Ran and drove well
Interesting to read, thanks,
I offered £450 for the one I posted a page back...but he wants £550. I may hold out till he's desperate then!!
When you say it was a shocking drive...what do you mean?

Just enquired about another Focus estate. Sorry mate, now sold. banghead

That's about four cars i've enquired about and they are all sold? Yet some of the ads are still live on AT. What the hell am I doing wrong? wobble

Can you give me some details (within posting rules, of course)?

I must scare people or something. I've rung about two and been told straight away they are sold. Ive also emailed about a few as it's late and I can't ring people at 11pm. All ive had back is 'now sold'.

I'm not just after a Focus. Anything estate wise under £1k will do.

Being too slow.

At this end of the market you need to make contact asap and turn up to view as soon as you can with cash in your hand.

How did it stay taxed for nearly 2 years after the MOT ran out? I thought a car had to be MOT'd in order to tax it?

If the keeper changes the tax liability date does too so it might be that

Good choice of shed, but you might be wishing you never bought it in a few years time when its still passing MOTs laugh

Have found a 2003 1.6 Leon at a dealer nearby. MOT for nearly a year. 120k miles. Up at £795, but will see if I can get that down. Going to look now. smile

egor, post up the Primera when you get it. They're great bargain basement cars, although it's difficult to really want one
