£1200 with Best Offer, so could possibly just squeak this into BB territory.
What are the EGR/DPF/DMF failure rates like on these?
Quite tempted to do a bit of bargain mini-barging, getting a bit tired of the ride in my Celica T Sport!

Don't these have complicated suspension or did they change to springs in the later ones? it'd be worth a punt if you are feeling brave, the 2.0HDI unit is generally very reliable, although its one large bill away from the scrapyard (as is everything bargain basement.) £1200 is a bit rich, I'd be tempted at £800 or so.95K C5 HDI

I bought a 75k mile 2002 Megane 1.4 Expression for £200 in November....
Passed it's MOT a couple of weeks ago! Happy days. Now on 81k.
It has a wheel bearing rumble just starting...and a couple of other quirks (ventilation cycle clicks/bangs on start up - a known problem). Oh and the Air con doesn't work, despite a FOC regas at work.
Can't really complain though...cheap motoring!
Very good deal. £200 with only 81k miles and full MOT. Definitely a keeper!Passed it's MOT a couple of weeks ago! Happy days. Now on 81k.

according to MOT history there's an oil leak - but that might have been the case for quite some time. This brings back memories:

Peugeot 505 on ebay. Four cylinder, high mileage and the MOT expired a couple of months ago.
Still looks to be in nice condition, and the chestnut brown colour suits the car.

The MOT expired 14 months ago according to the ad. I haven't checked if it has been tested since Still looks to be in nice condition, and the chestnut brown colour suits the car.

Think that one has popped up on various threads on the PH forums in the past, but it's still worthy of a repost.http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2017...
Those leather seats look in good shape. I've seen saggier seats in 62,000 mile cars, never mind 620,000 miles!

Nice work. "Executive" spec on those Accords was very luxurious by repmobile standards of that era. Leather seats, dual zone aircon, sat nav, power tailgate. Lovely stuff. But as of today it does have integrated bluetooth!
This little box cost £50 and plugs into the back of the stereo, because the cd changer is integrated I can still use that too, answers calls (using the microphone from the nokia carphone fitted before, pain in the arse to remove that stuff) and I can change song with the steering wheel controls, very happy with it!
As the car is concerned, after a few weeks of ownership I've serviced it (£47), swapped the rear tyres for some dunlops from my last car (£15), changed two bulbs (£3) and had the tracking done as the car was horrible to drive(£28). Drove to Surrey and back on the weekend and it was amazing, the seats and ride are nearly as good as my old Rover 75!

I am seriously looking at these, but have so far restricted my search to the 2.4 auto.

Its really not that bad, wont set the world on fire but easily keeps up with traffic. I haven't carried anything really heavy yet so yet to reach the limits of the torque available. If I was looking at getting an auto I would get the 2.4 though.I know it's subjective, horses for courses etc., but how do you rate the performance of the 2.0 ?

Be a great thing to smoke around in though, imagine taking it up to 7 figures!

Yeh cheap enough bit of old French cheese isn't it. Now, disconnecting the rear back door - how do I do this?
I just pulled the plug between the pillar and the door out (well it actually unscrews). Do this when the door is unlocked. The remaining locks will continue to work and you can just manually flick the lock from inside for that door as needed for the mot. It does stop the electric window working as well of course.I read the requirement to open rear doors was introduced in 2012. I guess they need to be able to open them in the event of a crash.
MGFs are only worth two baked beans and a button so what did you really expect?
