What's all this aircon/refinement chat about? Roof down and some great songs on the stereo = WIN.

E30 cabrio down to Lake Como a few years back.

As I mentioned above, I'd take the Mazda as it's a car you know (and its associated niggles). The Z3 is an unknown quanitity being new, as such may throw up various issues/epic failures which may spoil the holiday.

The comfiest. Just on way back from Davos, como, Garda etc in the Nissan. It's comfier than the m3!

Keep us blogged up on your journey, were taking our Eunos down to Naples in Sept then coming up the Amalphi coast, nothing booked, just gonna wing it!! Luggage space is our main concern ad I don't really want a boot rack. similar trip a couple of years ago in a MGF no problem, apart from "seatbelt suntan", but it did have twice as much boot space as the Eunos.
Be interested in your route across the Alps, we staying at St Etienne with some friends on the way down so im guessing into Lyon, Grenoble then across from there.
for what its worth the MX5 will be more of an adventure, as opposed to the cumfy pipe and slippers experience of the Zed.
