As i told, everyone can build any car include a TVR.
How do you sell it?
what logo or brand?smile

that is the clue;)
are you saying that Les Edgar has not purchased the TVR brand - yes or no?
I assume he is saying that NS failed to keep up TM rights in the EU and they have lapsed or been claimed by someone else once NS ceased trading last year?

Image rights to the shapes of cars have either expired or were never staked by NS anyway so anyone could build a Sag or Griff etc, I believe.

yea we can all assume various things about what he's saying, but it was a question to him! I would hope Les isn't going to just churn out 'new' models using the old designs anyway. I can only assume (again) elisek thinks this is what he wants to do and therefore it's relevant. What I would say to that is that we don't know what Les' plans are so its pointless discussing I guess. I just want elisek to hang his hat on what he's skirting around and stop this nonsense.

I know much more TVR informations than you can image.
HUGE infos but i'm not involved. trust me.
But i know people and deep facts.
I cannot give direct infos.
just read the pubblic papers on the right patent sites.;)
In other words, you are unable to provide any evidence for anything you're saying.
I think that's all we needed to know, thanks.

all the informations are online

EU rules are over UK rules....remember that!

just find the right way and you see everything.

it is too easy posts link....and after that you need to read for days!!

but everythink is public.

You want easy explanations....not easy to do....better read with your eyes. ok?

there are not secrets but only rules that sometimes are positive sometime negative.
even if you were right (your not but hey lets be hypothetical) and the logo wasnt included with the sale its not exactly a disaster.
the company = the brand. and Les Edgar has bought the company.
its not exactly difficult to knock up a new logo similar too but not quite the same as the old one.
the company - eg the name/brand is the key here and its beyond a shadow of a doubt that Les Edgar owns that

No he's claiming that the former importer of TVR cars into Italy who tried to register the trademark 'TVR Italia' in 2007 has had his request granted in Italy. Prior usage of a trademark always takes predeedance unless the other party can prove otherwse. I'd suggest that actually owning the company might carry some weight in this matter.

As we've seen recently in the Berlusconi farce you can't take anything said in an Italian court seriously.

the same useless Italian courts who ordered that a collection of genuine (and irreplaceable) maserati parts be destroyed

well i am no trademark attorney, but "TVR Italia" sounds like it could be easily circumvented, even if this were something which might clash (or indeed is even true). It isn't quite the same as having the trademark required to use the brand "TVR" in Italy. I would imagine the reason for elisek's smug and evasive delivery is because he is in some way involved. One for Les's team anyway, I can't imagine it's a big deal regardless. Is Italy a big market for British sports cars??

Cue a smattering of Italian businessmen hurriedly checking their paperwork... Just in case there's royalties to pay the new owners!

Can you please just....go away.

Stop tainting TVR Gregis. You turn everything into the cryptic TVR Elisek show, not providing any evidence to substantiate outlandish claims and offending people. Even worse, for the uninformed you fraudulently pretend to be TVR on facebook, no different to a con-man.

You're worse than the russian.

Out of interest, is this the same Facebook page that has images of a reworked sag?

according to his website he imports Geely to Italy, which is a Chinese brand made popular in China by making horrendous copies of western car brands offerings. I think this is basically the level. Give it a google image search for some fun. That said, the website contains a few nice and interesting things, some weird things, and some kit cars and things which aren't something I personally would buy, but that's just me.

His site also lists a T350C as sold, with "more on request", and says that they "specialize in TVR". Also his garage lists several TVRs owned.

Gianluca, do you believe you own the brand "TVR Italia", if such a thing exists, at least in Italy?

well it is, isn't it. Anyone can do a render. What pisses me off as quite often these bedroom doodlings get passed off as something more than that. Autocar are awful for it.

Ah well that makes a lot more sense.

Now that we have established that he's the "Facebook Fantasist" it all makes sense.

'Not involved' indeed. rolleyes
