Nothing wrong with (the right) Crocs!

For a cheapish pair of shoes that you can wash through the summer, and will keep your feet cool while you're schlepping around on holiday, and are easy to drive in, you can't go wrong.

I just drove my son to Scouts and I couldn't be bothered to find my trainers so did it in my flip flops. It's not easy but it doesn't half make you concentrate a lot more.
Likewise.

There isn't much feel especially when trying to find the brake pedal.

Think I'll wear my brown Jesus sandals when I pick him up....

jaysus, so fecking what if he wants to put on some plastic sandals for driving on a hot day (up to 200 miles too! look out Ewan McGregor, get Norris McWhirter on the phone, we've got a long distance badass here!)

In all honesty these (while better than normal crocs) are still pretty awful. Get yourself some decent leather or suede driving shoes and go sockless.

http://www.asos.com/Polo-Ralph-Lauren/Polo-Ralph-L... if you combine these with the ensemble recommended above by LOH, you can pretend you're a wealthy playboy on the Riviera and women will swoon*.

  • Not guaranteed. Swooning by men may also occur.

I'm telling you, a pair of these, some nice pastel coloured jeans, a RL polo shirt & if its chilly out, a nice knitted number draped over the shoulders. You'll be the toast of the riviera bowtie

I'm wearing mine right now seeing as its such a baleric Cumbrian evening & cutting quite a dapper look if I don't mind saying so myself
How much! For some blown up Action Man shoes from his 'bender' range.

Barefoot on those long drives in France.....but 200 miles a day......you're not towing a.......a........caravan are you???

erm, no. flip flops, crocks, sandals and whatever those things are have stupidly stiff soles, i.e. crap for running.
eta: oh they're merrells. yea, stupidly stiff.

It reminds me of the Atom as they kind of look like a giant shoe

Just drive bare foot. I've been doing it for years and it's only been the cause of a couple of accidents during that time!

I happily drive barefoot in the summer. Never had a problem stomping on the brake pedal if necessary.

Crocs are crap for driving in.
1/ they are too spongey
2/ they aren't breathable.

I love driving barefoot in the summer and find driving in flip flops dangerous so I always are them off.

A lorry reversed into me once and I was driving barefoot. When we got out he started filming me with no shoes on and said it was against the law and that I caused the accident by being barefoot! He said he'd send the footage of me barefoot to his insurance company.

I was sure he was wrong but checked it out just in case and the Highway Code says you should not drive in footwear that affects your ability to control the car.
