Check this. It caused an airbag fault-light on my Clio.

If so you've probably left this unplugged.
Did you check this? The light is near the air vents above the radio I think.

On our Golf demo car at work disconnecting the battery causes the airbag light to come on, we just clear the fault codes to get rid of it when we've finished working on the car.
