Last week I sold my Alfa 145 on eBay. Now the winning bidder is complaining that he's having difficulty getting insurance for the car.

Am I the only person who gets a Meerkat quote before bidding on a car if I like the look of it?

Is there any other motoring related pillockiness that makes you think...

The first thing I do before even start obsessing over a car is get insurance quotes. My Confused.com profile has over 100 expired quotes for various cars in it!

People who stretch their budget by financing a 5 year old premium car and don't factor in the cost of servicing and the price of wide, low profile 18" tyres! There is a town near me that is "well to do" but quite often see the likes of X5s etc wearing nearly bald budget tyres!

Holt near Fakenham is dog for that. There's nothing like being tailgated by the "Ultimate Driving Machine" with a set Czeap-pros contigrip remolds barely fitted. rolleyes

People who are surprised their cars don't sell when the adverts says "twelve months M.O.T (til Jan 2014)" and the photo's in the advert still have snow in them.

People who take a car off of eBay because it's nowhere near what they want for it only to "relisted due to time waster" a few hours later. rolleyes

I think it cost 10p to set a reserve or better still set the starting price near the kind of money you want in the first place for free. fkwitts!

eBay re-listing said:
Following this week's charades if the car makes reserve the winning bidder WILL be charged £50 per day storage from midnight after the auction ends to either the time the car is collected or this value exceeds the winning bid. At this point the debt WILL be sold to a recovery company and may effect your credit rating.

By bidding on this item you are agreeing to these terms and conditions.

My apologies to all the genuine bidders and buyers out there but I have literally just wasted the only week I have off work a year waiting for someone to turn up tomorrow every day until the winning bidder decided not to buy instead. Annoyed doesn't cover it.
Should set a nice legal precedent for future eBay activity. judge
