Mods are a waste of money IF you're comparing the car to a GT3. Why? Because at the end of the day, a GT3 will always be worth more, and when you try to sell this, it'll be nothing more than a modified base model car.

Still, I fail to see the point in not only this modified car, but even the gt3's mentioned as well for 40k. Just get a GTR and be done with the nonsense.
Having driven both, the GTR is a completely different drive, very easy to drive fast and even though it is involving they are not as much involving as a cooking Carrera let a lone a GT3. In short for track work I'd take 911 everytime, it might not be quite as fast for that one fast lap, but its more fun, more challenging but even more so it will happily do lap after lap after lap with no issue.

Try doing 10 or more hot laps in a GTR, you simply cannot, things get too hot and you have to allow it to cool, the GTR needs some modifications to make it suitable for track work, otherwise you could be looking at a huge bill.

The GTR's ability is un-matched and its a very good drive and not soulless or in-involving like some might say, but at the same time a GT3/Carrera is more involving, more of a challenge and certainly has more character than the GTR. The GTR's trump card is it is incredible value, but you can't beat a Porsche for steering feel and involvement, fact!

So for a track day focused car on a budget, only the suspension and tyres are most beneficial mods there. Maybe the wheels for the mass savings and as a spare set of rims.

Surprised they have not offered a decent seat and harnesses, much more useful than a carbon spoiler and sports exhaust. Also, lots of expensive engine mods for no real advantage
Did you actually read any of the article??

Now that anything with GT3 on the back has gone bonkers something like this makes a lot of sense.
