I just went through and added on £53k of additional equipment to a regular 3.0TDI - so just fwd, none of your quattro rubbish .... oOptional equipment costing more than the effing car. So much stuff that it'll do darned near everything aside from wiping your backside.

Doesnt matter how fast etc this may be, it gets a ZERO. fking fugly rear end is just plain and simple a turn off! Better of gettin the normal sensible A6 version of the RS6.

I present to you the most expensive Audi you can buy at the moment, £6,000 more expensive than an R8 V10 Spyder with carbon brakes and every single option ticked:

That's hilarious that you can spend over £70k (which could buy you an M135i, a nice Defender and a VW Up) on trinkets to "improve" what should already be a plush, well-equipped luxobarge.

w way, your quote is incorrect!
Its "speak softly, and carry a big stick" (Theodore Roosevelt).
Quite different to your (mis)quote.....

Another Audi yawn. They seem to be getting blander.

Meh.

Same wheels as a 2.0 TDi B6 A4.

Try harder Audi.
Dear Mr Meh,

In the UK at least, the 2.0 TDI was not available on the B6 A4, nor were the wheels. They became available on the RS4 in 2006 and then on MK2 TTs and the s-line special edition A3s and A4s soon after, then other models.

Perhaps the wheels are popular with customers.
Thank you for correcting me.

I have seen plenty of A4's B6 (and B7) sporting the same wheels

It makes little difference to me though, it just dilutes the Audi RS brand.
Those look like after market alloys to me, not factory items fresh from Audi.
Look carefully and the rs7 wheels are different from the previous gen wheel that came on the post 06' cars. Those are copies on the a4, but a mould based copy so essentially identical in form but very different in structure.

Lastly, surely the S7 is the perfect fast a7 variant. Either way, they'll sell them and the world is a better place for a 560hp car.

I happen to like the rear. I think it looks 'Star Wars-y' around the lower edges. They're a very different proposition to the A6 Avant.

It's funny isn't it, Audi are selling more and more cars and yet from an enthusiasts point of view they are quite dull (R8 excepted). It just goes to show that the general motoring public don't really care about ride quality and handling balance, they simply care about having the latest tech in an extremely powerful car. So Audi keeps churning out more of the same point & squirt RS models.

The irony is for a brand that is sold on its 'Sporty' nature, it is anything but!

Regards,

MyCC.

A lovely car I personally liked the look on the S7 not too aggressive but as for the RS7 at 84K its in M5 territory and and 10k away from a Porsche GTS its really in deep competition before we mention the CLS63 OR M6

Yet another overpriced, over-complex, potentially poorly reliable, "barge" as you Brits put it. It will, as all its brethren do here in the States, depreciate like a rock, because it won't age well once the miles pile on. All for a fastback roofline to serve as the sole distinguishing characteristic from an RS6? What's wrong with an "estate?"

Why?

How is this different from any expensive car with a long options list? How likely is it that someone would tick every single option?

If ever the not sure if serious meme was required.

Really, you'd pay ONE HUNDRED AND FOUR THOUSAND POUNDS for a diesel A7.

I think it's a good looking car, but I wouldn't want one.

I don't get how Audis are so quick 0 to 60? There are other awd cars out there that must have better power to weight ratios that can't come close to breaking 4 seconds.
