Just purchased a 9-5 Aero estate with the manual gearbox

As people have said, it just feels 'right' and the power is there for when you need it most, overtaking.

When you want a family car, which is uber comfy, and feels special, I've found the Saab to be it. I'm definitely hooked, there is just something about it.

My Saab will never be seen as 'proper' by the enthusiasts as its a GM special, but it is still a lovely place to be. I have just driven 150 miles back to the southwest from London village.

Despite dealing with numpties on the roads, heavy traffic and all the other jazz that blights driving these days I have arrived fresh and appreciate the car even more. Its true that they really do grow on you, something about the way it does what it does. Shame there is nothing I think I could replace it with at the moment, so i'll just keep it cloud9

I've already decided I want a Saab as my next mile muncher. A 9-3 saloon please. Turbo with an auto 'box would be just lovely.

My 2006 93 was comfortable . But let down by creaky & rattly interior & awful unupgradable stereo. The Interior of Skodas of the same vintage are far superior . I guess that's why Saab went bust, didn't keep up with the opposition. Shame as a nice looking car..

900 T16S was still the best car I have owned, really miss that car. Buying a 9-5 was a mistake though, nice seats and SAAB turbo engine but the rest of it reeked of GM crap.

My dad had an abbot racing tuned 9000 Carlson when I was a lad, fond memories of him blowing the gearbox up, twice, and getting through tyres in a matter of weeks, fun times!

That was one of 5 Saabs he and my mum owned in total, they were all nice cars even the later GM ones.

SAABs are driven by well educated, sensible, nice people.
And best of all, they aren't German.
No they're not

He didn't wait a year, he disagreed with you at the time but just glowered, and he's been glowering and huffing at you for 18 months and has now decided to tell you why you're in the dog house. It's quite clearly my 1st wife - I never knew she was on PH.

No offence OP but if you have to ask you aren't likely to get it wink

Someone summed it up perfectly - it just gets better and better the longer you have it. It's like your favourite ratchet or a particular screwdriver you find yourself reaching for over others in the tool box. It just feels right in a way that is hard to explain but also in a way that you don't feel you need to justify.

Waved goodbye to mr impatient who was flashing his lights and tailgating me in a brand new Octavia VRS today which sits in a similar vein in a lot of ways... Didn't even have to floor it. Just made me smile to myself.

Just asked my girlfriend; she likes the heated seats!

I love the over engineering and the boost.

I don't know when I started loving them , or even why, but I am a bit of obsessive about them and I treated myself to a classic 900 FPT Turbo this weekend, and I love it.
