Well one of my friends have had his wage cut and not being paid like he should. half of the staff have been layed off. and everyone one has had a pay cut and the MD says its looking bad and they might have to shut the company, then this morning the MD turns up with a 07 plate AM. he already has a Bentley C on a 08 plate. way to go MD rub everyone's face in it what a total fking wker! Really pisses me off no thinking about others! Fine fair enough if you want/ get one but don't then rub it in when people could lose there house/jobs.

P.s he is keeping the Bentley
Has a new Merc
Has the merc Ml
And a Porsche

If you look around its generally the same everywhere, people getting rich off the back of others. That's how it works.

That was actually a tough read.

We had similar when the UK's biggest on-line Credit Card company decided to make hundreds redundant. The CEO turned up in his Bentley, and the COO in his Aston. Just to compound things, the meeting room where people were told overlooked the car park, and both were sitting just feet away. Nice touch.

Perhaps he's downgraded from the Bentley to the Aston? (Not sure if that adds up financially but the Aston is older?) or flogged the B and using the wife's shopping car?

Needed to make sure they weren't vandalised!

But yes, the OP wasn't easy to read.

Not great diplomatic skills, but generally these are the individual Directors own cars, and not tied to the business. It's their own money that they are spending, not the businesses.

In reality, an 07 plate Aston isn't going to pay anyone's wages for very long. maybe he's depressed and thought "Sod it".

As a reverse story: about 15 years ago when I was in corporate life, our Group Sales and Marketing Director used to drive into work in a Rover 25. I worked for him and know he had a 355, 911 and others in his garage. Even though the company was doing well, his view was exactly that: he felt lucky and didn't want to rub people's noses in it. He was a fine chap - and mates with Ron Dennis to boot.

A couple of months ago, I met him for coffee in Mayfair. He still as the 355. 911 and has added a Maserati, Range Rover and A8 to the fleet. What did he drive into town to meet me? His old Rover 25!!!!

If he was wise, he would have followed the construction example.

Those who understand the game have a shed as their 'site car' with something nice kept at home. Usually those in the trades...

A six-year-old Aston? What a bd!

A look on Autotrader has 07 Vantages starting at 36 grand, hardly a crazy sum. His money, so what?

And he has a Porsche too!?! What a scumbag.

He took the gamble setting up the business and creating employment for others, if you don't like it try working for yourself.....some fking long periods when there ain't the safety net of a monthly pay check.
Maybe it ain't the best timing but if it's his own money that paid for it so what?

That's not all, I heard he turned up in a new M&S shirt and everything. I bet the bd even polished his shoes. .

Yes I agree with fair play to him and its his company and money. etc but you don't go buying a car like that bring it into work and then brag and tell all the staff to cum and have a look, being quite and not rubbing it in people's face would be nice! God I have nice cars and spend my money on nice things but I then don't go and rub it in someone's face!

Just glad I do not work there!!!! smile
