Chris, that's the second time I've seen that photo on PH. I'm not sure what looks better the woman or the 164, and I seriously like 164s.
Cheers Carinaman, it's made my Other half's day!

I've only ever driven a twinspark - I reckon a V6 would be very different!
I drove both (TS and V6) quite a lot in the early 90s, as we had one of each in the car pool. The V6 sounded so much better, but was not actually much quicker and the TS had much nicer handling.

Couldn't resist an opportunity to post a pic of my 164 3.0 24v Cloverleaf. Steadily developed for fast road use over the last 16 years of ownership, the car has full Recaro interior; 6 speed gearbox; Q2 differential; Konis; OZs; Momo; big brakes; flowed heads; improved induction; and a custom exhaust, including a free flow cat.

Just signed up to post on this!

Was leaving Oulton Park a few weeks ago following Vauxhall VXR event in my 93 K 164 Super Lusso 24v when the official photographer for the event walked up to me.

His comments were 'Ahh, now there's a proper car...', kind of made my day!!

Come into this one late but, as a dedicated Alfa-head (I know, I know!) for £250 precisely WTF do you have to lose? When the MOT runs out if you've fallen out of love with it you've got about £150 of scrap value, more if you break it for spares. Same applies even if it blows up.

Competition in 1987:

The BMW was a looker, I'm actually liking the e34 more and more again. It's past the banger car era now, when it was launched it was such a big hit. But the rest leave a lot to be desired.

The Alfa was a beautiful pininfarina saloon worthy of a bedroom poster.

Not strictly an SoTW as it doesn't have an MoT but there's a LHD V6 Q4 on eBay with 2 hours left.
