Sat in a 991 Carrera at Goodwood a couple of weeks ago and was amazed how the 911 has lost it's compact feel in this generation- it really did feel big from behind the wheel whereas the 997 felt very compact. Everybody keeps on saying how large the R35 GTR is but it is now only 1" wider (and 4 longer) than a 991 Turbo, 2" wider than a GT3.
Is this something that's been missed in all the furore over electric power steering? For me its compact feel was one of the best things about 911s.

Lighter than the previous 997 the 991 C2S is about 1470kg, a stunning car, drive one before you pass judgement.
It's no wider the 997 with slighty longer wheel base and shorter over hangs front and rear.
I own one, and drove the other... to me it felt a fair big lardier. It's no wider the 997 with slighty longer wheel base and shorter over hangs front and rear.

Would love to have my opinion reversed if anyone wants to let me drive theirs
