220bhp and still no differential of any kind.
An open differential, is a differential, hence the name.

And they wonder why there buisness is not performing with prices like that its pretty obvious, just look at how ford is pricing there range and sales are booming for the st range, you really have to wonder how clever the people in charge are ! ps i actually like the new clio .

I guess I was treading the fine line between technical correction and pedantry wink. Saying it doesn't have "a differential of any kind", was just wrong to me, because an open differential is a differential, so it does have a differential of some kind.

I am sometimes slightly bemused at the hate for the recent Clio Gordini.

Yes, I know it was only a cosmetic make-over, but the Clio R.S. was a pretty decent machine to start with, albeit rather spartan in Cup form.

I'm only saying....
I enjoyed my Clio Gordini - it was rare in that it was white with grey stripes. Great on track and a fast cruiser on the Autoroutes back from Dieppe.

For £25k!!!

fk that, i'll stick another grand in the pot, get an M3 CSL, and MAKE money in the 2-3 years i keep it. No chance Renault. Nice try though!
Why do people say this? It isn't even the price that is the problem because most, if not all special hot hatches started at this sort of price, but no one actually pays that. DS3R, Corsa VXR Nurburgring for example..

I never understand why people compare new cars againat used cars either, especially if they are also from different segments. It makes no sense whatsoever due to the difference in running costs.

An exceptionally ugly car in a gash colour with stripes, two doors too many and a characterless engine. Exciting times.

I'll have a nice old one please.
