I'm hoping to find myself one soon. I love the subaru blue, and reading around it has the sharper suspension setup (though I haven't driven the subaru) but I really dont like the silver finish on the dash. I know it sounds daft but I REALLY dont like it and much prefer the black of the toyota. Plus Orange is almost as good as the blue.

Does anyone know why the US spec car is almost a second quicker to 60 than the uk one - without making assumptions?
The Toyota isn't marketed in the US so are you referring to the Scion FR-S or Subaru? I gather the Scion model has even fewer features than the UK GT86 so maybe there's an appreciable weight saving?
I suspect nowhere near enough to get a second but it all helps.

I remember there was a large difference between the pug 106 Gti times. Real life tests gave 7.2 to 60 - from memory. The official time began with an 8 I am sure.

Yes it was the Scion FR-S, figured they were just the same car with a different name too.

Wouldn't take much to change the colour of the silver bits. You could have them wrapped. The standard BRZ head unit is very old school looking. The Toyota one isn't great but its much better looking.

Blue is nice but orange is best wink

Agreed the head unit is much nicer in the toyota too, and with a quick trip to Litchfield, the suspension could be improved too.

If they do claim 6.7s I don't think that's possible without using magazine tricks like a grippy track
I notice that the U.S. mags must test on a less grippy steering pad though - they don't seem to get near the Autocar lateral G figure
