Pretty sure they're not the same engine, the earlier model is an Endura and the 'Duratec' is actually the rocam engine

Seems that the Endura is OHV, and the 'Duratec' is OHC to me.

True... But as far as I know, the transition to the rocam engine didn't occur in europe until the end of 02/start of 03, which would mean it would be still the Endura, and the Zetec Ro-Cam is still a kent family engine, and still rough as hell.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Kent_engine#Endu...

Youtube has videos of a 1.8T quattro conversion in a Ford Ka.

My first car was a rocam fiesta. It was incredibly slow. Not too rough though I thought, and didn't let me down. In hindsight I would much rather have had the zetec!It does have 10bhp more though...
