Hello all

My missus is after a new car for around the £2-2.5K mark Ive been browsing a few places for the last week and have seen all the usuals
Fiesta
Clio
Aygo
Micra
Jazz

I was wondering if theres any particular good reliable petrol high mpg out there for around that price, I'm keeping clear of KA's as I've heard they rust a lot around the petrol cap and sills, however I know I'm not going to get a great car for the price Id rather get one that isn't going to need much maintenance..

Cheers in advance

Well, I can't make head or tail of your simile (cool? no wheels? only one door? WTF?) but the Aygo is a great little drive, Plenty of fun, too, as long as you understand its remit/limits.

Are they as cheap as the OP wants? Perhaps the C1/107?
