Hi there
Does anyone know whether you actually have to change the filter on the p38 Range Rover when changing the transmission oil?? Or just recommnended??

You don't have to, but it is recommended as you get the chance to swap them, and whatever crap they have caught over the years.

Hi ,
I must do about 4 of these a week. You wouldn't believe the crap that gets caught up In those filters. Don't forget that when you drop the oil, you only change roughly half the oil because it gets caught in the torque converter!

Oh, and if (which i'd recommend) you get a new sump gasket, don't go britpart , get a genuine one! The Brit ones are a dodgy fit.
