Friends is looking for a Fiesta for a year. So found this.

http://m.lingscars.com/car?car=1814247

I'm aware that you can get a C1 for around £100 a month, but she wants a Fiesta.

Anyway this got me thinking. Is there anywhere that does short term leases on interesting cars. So anything from a Clio RS, Focus ST/RS, 370Z, Z4, M3 upwards etc. I'm guessing the monthly payments will have to be high to offset the depreciation, but I thought it might be a cool idea.

Just sounds expensive to me TBH.
I can imagine monthly repayments of about £3000 on a £70000 car.

Yep, really great value aren't they. Exactly what I have been looking for and with freedomcontracts it averaged out at £637 per month which is soooooo tempting! That's £15,331 over 2 years, but the depreciation on these things are more than this so can't see why you would buy. They obviously have a good bulk buy deal with MB.

Money down the drain obviously ,but if you got rich quick and want to spunk it for a year before you become sensible ,then why not.Especially if you get a worthwhile car like any N/A Amg

Look at the initial payments on these 'good' deals...

Some are 6+X or even 9+X, that's how they can offer a lower monthly payment. They hook you in with a low payment and then sting you for the initial. O'Leary would be proud!

Lings are all 3+X!!

Is it possible to find these deals on nearly new cars? If a C63 AMG can be had for £666/3yrs brand new, a 1yr old one should be £500/month over 2yearS?

Yep I have added that in, worked out the total payment and divided it by number of months of lease which took it to £637. Actual monthly lease was about £560ish without this first payment averaged out.

How can they charge around £400 a month for a Clio Sport, and only £666 for a C63 AMG Merc..?! I really don't understand leasing!

Leasing is based upon depreciation so your monthly payment is calculated using the amount it will depreciate over the X months + your VED + profit for the leaseco.
