^^^ Yes, in the same way Evora residuals have remained high simply because not many new cars have been sold.

Here in the US to you rarely see F-Types and the values are holding strong here as well. I'very been waiting for the market on the to drop too. The sound is INCREDIBLE!

^^^ My personal opinion is that Jag made a couple of errors with the car in the context of its likely buyers,

  • Ride much too firm
  • Embarrassing noise from exhaust

Interesting to see the earlier comments about the value of XK8/R plummeting. They seem to have stopped falling now, with the early cars on the way up. I've been watching the prices on and off as I would like to replace my X100 XK8 with an X150 XK 5.0 but the X150 values are pretty stable now so my only hope is that mine will increase in value - trouble is that if it is on the way up I won't want to sell!

The F-Type is getting more common but still not so many that it will force prices down I don't think.

So 4 years on from the original thread the cheapest on the market are around the £37k mark, not many predicted they would hold on so well.

Anyone brave enough to predict how they will fair in the next few years and how low will they go?

I'm going to say another 18-24 months before they dip under the £30k Mark for the v6, maybe v6s sneaks in to that too, with the v8s from £35k.

It is to my eye quite a nice looking car, and quite a lot of fun to drive. I drove the V8 and V6 versions and was quite happy with them to drive.

Certainly the complete lack of luggage space is a problem though...though there are other offenders like some supercars/.(Bugatti Veyron new Ford GT) and the Mercedes Gullwing, but at least in that case you could get fitted luggage.

Admit defeat and get an XKR, plenty to choose from at 25k.

I can't see F types going below £30k any time soon.
They remain rare and there will be enough people after them to keep s/h prices up there.
IMHO of course.
