Two fellas bold as brass walk into my house whilst I'm here and grab my car keys and try and nick my car!!!! My gast is flabbered.

Thankfully I caught them in time and chased them down the drive, before they could steel it. They still have the bloody key though

If you want a nice car fking work for it like every one else you massive, massive s.

Take the battery off and take a wheel off for tonight.

Sort out new locks etc tomorrow. Presumably they've got your house keys too?

A small quiet village in rural Essex. Literally 3 pubs and a convenience store.

You hear it happening more regular, seems that in a effort to make cars less nickable the thieving sts are just getting braver.

Glad you st them up anyway.

If you're that rural and they were presumably on foot before they tried it on, that would suggest they are local perhaps...

Alternatively have any 3.14 keys settled in the vicinity recently?

There were two of them, plod reckons they had another car parked in the lane round the corner.

Thing is its a pretty long drive, they took a hell of a risk walking up it then trying the door, this was at 7o'c when it was still light for crying out loud.

Interesting, I'm not as rural as you sound to be but I've been in & out of the house all day working on one of the cars, MrsC at work, front door open, back door open, workshop door open - I kinda thought I would see anyone who was hanging around. May have to be a little more careful when I resume tomorrow.

Glad all OK at your end OP.
