Looks ace. Provided they sort the shut line at the front of the bonnet! Better start saving. When is the M3 saloon being launched (if they are even doing one)?
It is the single most irritating thing about the all the new bmws, it just looks so cheap! Sort it out BMW Please!!

just saying..

Has there been any mention of price yet? I wouldn't want the M4 however I do want to know how much the M3 saloon equivlent (spelling?) will be as a saloon suits my needs much better than a coupe!

Thanks Jon, out of the price range for me for a few years then if it's that much, was hoping something more around the 50,000 Euro mark frown

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG start around 67,235 Euro so expect the £ price to be similar to the equivalent Mercedes over here.

Is a 'leak' now the same thing as a 'press release'?

Large air inlets in the dynamic front, a swift design language in the side and a sporty, low rear give clear visual indication of the car’s tremendous dynamic potential.

Will E9X prices fall much as a result of this?

Or

Being £10,000 more expensive it may help sustain value?

I think it looks fantastic, although the colour wouldn't be my first choice. It looks like the perfect car to replace my M5 in a couple of years.

A good question.

From what I recall, the e9x didn't really affect the e46 as it was quite a different beast, and a chunk of coin more. Plus the drop in MPG and increase in road tax made the e46 look like really good value.

This probably won't hurt the e9x too much, but I predict a lot of e9x owners might want to get into this for the improved MPG.

But has the e9x got far to move? You can pick them up for sub 20k now, and with the e46 still hovering around 10k for a reasonable example, I can't see them getting much closer.

Fuel consumption issue is relevant - the new car is quite a quantum leap and no doubt there will be deals as every manufacturer tries to shift metal e.g.C63 AMG.

Circa 30's is where I expect the newish CP's one to settle at. Some will relate to what happened with the E39 M5.

Think it looks fantastic and that weight is very encouraging, hopefully a return to being a proper 'M3' (or M4 in this case) rather than another GT car.

Imagine what will happen when the tuners make the most of that turbo too! The saloon will be a contender for all the car you'll ever need.

Looks like it monsters the 911 and will have the legs on the AMG mercedes with that weight figure too.
Never mind the 911 C2, it compares pretty well with the new GT3. Sub four second 0-60 time no doubt.

New Porsche 911 GT3 NEW M4 Coupé
Torque 325 ft/lbs 398 ft/lbs
Power 469 bhp 416 bhp
Weight (DIN) 1430 kg 1495 kg
Power to weight 333 bhp/ton 282 bhp/ton
Torque to weight 231 ft/lb/ton 271 ft/lb/ton

I corrected the power and torque to weight figures for the M4 as they are per imperial ton (which is 1,016kg).

i reckon the best bet is to look at E60 M5 prices after the F10 M5 came out, perhaps?

colour aside, i really quite like this smile hoping it'll be really good

Not sure of that Ross. Mention E60 M5, people reply lousy gearbox.
