Looks like fun to work on! If you drop something it ain't going to make it to the ground with that lot in the way! The engine bay on my E36 is full enough!

Looks like im not the only one fed up with this drip-drip approach to advertising recent BMW's. Just let us see the thing properly for God's sake!

I've never liked the way the M3 (or M4 in this case) always has a huge exhaust muffler showing. Makes it look like it's got an udder.

M3s have always been subtly muscular but with elegance. This throws all that out the window and heads straight down the street marked "VULGAR".

At least I get to laugh at the ridiculous wedding cake bonnet when one tailgates me at 18 inches on the motorway this time.

Whereas an EVO is the perfect example of restrained good taste?

What a pathetic comment. How many cars that has a power bulge bonnet with turbo or not. It has nothing to do with it being for a V8 or N/A engine.

Krikkit said:
That bonnet is bloody awful! What do you need a power bulge for on a turbo straight-6? Pointless.

Some road cars has them to clear a tall engine or tjose tha has an intercooler mounted on top.

Erm aesthetics ... ?

No road car needs a power bulge really but when they've incorporated them on both incarnations of the M3 since and including the E46, the car may look less-aggressive without one.

My god I hate the internet sometimes, everyone has an opinion and there's a written record of it.

It's going to be a fantastic car and looks great. Hopefully I can put my E46 variant into retirement and move into this as a daily.

It's a decent looking car and all but surely I can't be the only one that thinks it looks hardly any different from the last M3?

Looks to plain to me. Hope that's not the finished product, not aggressive enough. Looks like a 335 with double twin pipes, ordinary.

The M4's face looks like a cartoon shark's, which is not meant as a compliment.
