RE: BMW M4 'revealed'?
Discussion
Don't think it has been mentioned yet in this thread, but article says no mention of manual. IMO and not opening a debate, having had E46 & E92 for the last 12 years in manual form I.e. I love them, I will not be buying the new one if it does not come in manual. Maybe old school thinking, but that is what I like.
I think this looks great especially in say Interlagos Blue.
Looks wise is a natural evolution from E92 M3.
Can clearly see is based on 435i.
Looks great
Probably go like stink
Just a shame no high revving NA
Is really just the next M3 Coupe in all but name ignoring all the press fluff fluff

I think it's just another render - unlikely they would put a front splitter on a 'standard' M Car - they'll leave that for the CSL (if they do one).
Also, the mirrors don't look quite right and there are no vents on the hood.
Best to wait for an official release before judging I think...
I agree, front wings don't look like they've been touched either. And I agree with the comment RE: the power bulge, think this a fan mock-up - all be it a pretty and well made one. Also, the mirrors don't look quite right and there are no vents on the hood.

Time will tell.
But the partly disguised scoop photos above show what is likely to be a good looking M car
This is still my favourite fake:

struggling to get excited about BMWs these days.
They always feel a notch behind Audi/Merc inside, not as competent or fun to drive as Porsche, questionable exterior styling.
I don't think they're a notch behind Audi or MB on the inside, it's just what you're used to, I think. whenever I sit inanAudi, even the RS5, I feel it has a bit of 'generic' VW to it.They always feel a notch behind Audi/Merc inside, not as competent or fun to drive as Porsche, questionable exterior styling.
Are any of Audi's or MB's M3 rivals as competent/ Fun as a Porsche? Different type/ class of car, tbh. You might as well be comparing a Dacia to a Porsche.

Also, the plastics (yes I know this sounds a bit anal), vent appearance, huge fat steering wheels that only an orangutan can hold kind of ruin the rest of the ineriors for me.
As for the driving part, you are probably right that direct comparison to Porsche is a bit unfair, I personally compare it to the Cayman but I understand that many people looking at the BMW are attracted by the mildly practical rear seats (even on the coupe).

looks like a chargecooler and some intresting bracing.
How the fk do you change the spark plugs?
I fact how do you do anything on that drop the engine out?
Not sure about the Berocca Piss colour, however, in the metal this is clearly going to carry a serious presence. Suble but muscular lines and some really ncie detail. Hoping the engine can still feel M special but based on their efforts with the M135i and the 1M Coupe i'm sure it will be the business.
One thing I am wondering is why I havent taken more notice of the E92 V8. A weapon of an engine that revs to 8000rpm mated to an awesome duel clutch gearbox. Hoping prices come down a little more when the M4 is released now!
