Yeah, they used Cerbs as mules for the SLR, they used a dodge for the SLS..

Well technically the core does slosh about a bit, the outer bit being molten (though the inner is solid), but even if the whole thing were solid throughout and rigidly joined the surface would still be moving faster than the core in the same way that the outer edge of a wheel moves faster than the centre or one side of your car moves faster than the other when cornering (hence differentials). Technically the very centre of the Earth doesn't move at all. Relatively.
