Namely after the best deal on Castrol 10w60. Few of the cars needing done so probably buy 20litre-ish.

Best Ive found so far is from eurocarparts - works out at £7.81 / litre.

Try carparts4less. Usually cheaper no matter what discount hoops ECP have you jumping through.

Looks like a good price. Opie Oils best price for 10w60 appears to be £7.99 even with their current 20% discount.

You sure that's the right grade, it's quite rare?

I've found oil seems to be the exception.

Really? There have been times when you need to factor in their fixed £5, £10 and £15 discounts, but Im yet to find anything which isnt cheaper.

Only on oil.

If there's a discount available for oil it's always been cheaper with ECP whenever I've looked.

I needed some 10W60 Castrol BMW M oil a while back.

I did an ebay search and found somewhere locally that supplies it, I went there and grabbed 6l. At the till it came to £42, after a bit of banter the guy rounded it down to £40. Then I realised I had the wrong oil as it wasn't the specific BMW stuff (not sure what difference it makes) so he switched it and did it at the same price(I don't think he realised the BMW stuff was £2 a bottle more)

So I paid £40 for 6l. I was smug smile

Moral or the story, try ebay.

Halfords are currently doing 60% off oil (need to add it to your basket to get the final price).

My Mobil 5w/30 was £25 for 5l. Don't think they have 10w/60 though, but it may help someone else smile

They ship by fking Yodel though, far better buying over the counter from ECP and not having to deal with yodel or incompetence from CP4L/ECP's dispatch department

Never had any issues with delivery from either of them and I've bought a fair few things off them over the past 3 years.

Returning things to CP4L is hard work. Took a number of months (and multiple phone calls) to get a refund on a waterpump last year.

My local ECP in Ashford is brilliant. Got me 2 BOSCH Silvers when I got back from an extended stay abroad and found both the X5 and the Z4 to have completely flat batteries. After a couple of attempts to start the X with jump leads I called ECP at 16.00, 2 batteries delivered at 17.10. Superb.

CP4L were glorious in their incompetence, again with a battery for my Defender. Took them a week and they were less than helpful whenever I called. I only saved a tenner over ECP and I defnitely will never use CP4L again, even when they are that little bit cheaper.

Halfords do have Mobil1 10W-60 but the price glitch has now been fixed and you're looking at a 30% discount rather than a double 30% discount. still probably one of the better deals around tho.
