That's handy if it suggests how much to add, the E90 doesn't as far as I'm aware.

(That's not relevant either) biggrin

Guys,

Its been a bloody long day, been from one end to other back and forth.

Any way, so, I go to the dealer in the morning, give the key to the mechanic, he opens the car and starts the car!!!

So he asks, what happened last night.. LOL.

I explained everything to him, he checked the battery and everything but seems like nothing is wrong with the car whatsoever!!

I am not convinced, so I booked the appointment with a BMW specialist and took the car there.. He was a really nice guy, he ran the diagnostics checks and again NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR..

Also, when he ran the diagnostics he resetted everything, so the head uni is coded, the airbag sign is gone, everything is fine...

It was just a bizarre night!! Mind you, the dealer did mention that, something similar like that happened to her once, apparently it was the loose battery wire, once they have tightened it up everything was normal.

So, as they say, all well that ends well, now I can sleep properly since there is nothing wrong with the car and everything is fixed. I guess I won't have to go to legal procedure any more!!

You had to ring the RAC to check the oil level?
Well, I called them mainly to buy the oil as it was around 9pm and everything was closed, so the only way I could buy was from RAC, besides next day didn't want to drive the car with no engine oil, as it might cause the damage, so it fine in the end.

I have just gone through every ones reply, so I will just chip in my side here..

First, my e60 had dipstick in, I knew the oil was low, but I needed the oil, so called rac and they topped it up, I paid them for the oil, so every one is happy. But yeah, the car dealer should check the oil level before sending it out, its really not nice to pay and start driving the car, within 5 min warning signs comes up on the dash, not a good feeling..

I did see that the head unit is not coded, but I am new to BMW, so didn't understand what it was, within 2-3 days after googling it realised some one must have put a new set of unit and didn't code it, so obviously I am not happy about it, also the the airbag sign in the dash is not pleasant thing to see within 1 hour of buying the car is it?

You know, the car stopping all of a sudden was not what pissed me off.. My car stopped in the middle of a motorway and hazard light wouldn't come on, so it was a life threatening moment, the only thing that saved me was another accident 2 min in front of us, because of that traffic was building up and every one stopped, if there was no traffic then some one would have came and smashed me away..

Imagine your self in that moment, in the middle line of a motor way, all of a sudden your car stops and hazard lights wouldn't come on either!!! Your life will flash in front of you.. Thats what irritated me the most and literally shook me up!! Didn't have proper sleep last night either...

But now since everything is fine, so I will have a good night sleep.
