I see a Hillman Avenger on an L plate and sometimes I see a flat front arched Mk2 Escort that's normally driving spiritedly. We often give each other a thumbs up if we have our hands free.
Occasionally see a Renault 5GTT and a new GT86.
Plus an Austin Allegro, also a couple of C63 AMGs.

Depends on the route I take

in my old job (when I drove to work) I used to pass a Beige Maestro, always doing about 25mph with an old duffer a the wheel (naturally!) - which, whilst far, far from being interesting was noteworthy as I couldn't identify a single patch of rust.

I see cars like that every so often too. Examples of old but relatively mundane models that are just so immaculate you can't help noticing them.

A chopped roof American truck.

Each week on my 13 mile commute from Brentwood to Chelmsford I will see:
Ferrari 430 Scuderia
Ferrari 612
Alfa Breda
Various other more subtle things like M5s

Saw a black FF, looked insane, then the driver must have been late (...) as the v12 roared into life as he turned off the motorway and onto the dual carriage way for Torquay , gave me a fuzzy feeling the noise, awesome car. Thank you Black FF driver for making the day brilliant after that.

Usually see a VXR8, not a Bathurst though most mornings.
An R8 on certain days, and a Maserati Quattroporte but haven't seen that for a few weeks.

Yep. Burley in Wharfedale to Leeds and I often see:

- a great looking red 944 coming the other way;
- a blue RS6 estate (SP09 A??) heading same way as me and normally driven like it's been stolen (this guy is going to have a big crash one day); and
- a F430

Yesterday, I saw an R8 convertible followed by a 308 GTS then an Evora with about 2-3 cars in between them. Wondered if they were heading somewhere interesting. Anyone on here?

I see a Lotus Carlton quite regular on my commute. Looks tidy but is a daily driver it seems as it isn't uber shiny all the time.

I did wonder if it was a replica but a quick Google revealed its a proper one! smile

Nice little thread!

I have commutted a lot in various silly cars but rarely see anyone else of note, on a regular basis.

One highlight was a Lexus LS with the reg TAX 1 which used to make me smile. Who knows why!

I only work 7 miles from home, bit don't do too badly considering.

I often see - on my way to work;

A fellow PHer in his (new type) Mustang Convertible
Morris Minor 'Woody'
Series 1 Jaguar XJ6

And on my way home;
Mk2 Fiesta XR2 (I know the owners' dad so know it's running a 2 litre Zetec)
MGB V8
1990s Mini Cooper
Escort Mk4 Bonus 90 (Limited Edition)
And one guy who drives either his 1980s 911 Carrera, TVR S2 or Mk1 MX5

They all brighten up my day just a little! cool

Amazes me why, sorry, how so many people can stand such mundane and dull transport.
Because it's transport. Most petrol heads often forget that it's the people who enjoy driving who are in the minority biggrin
Mainly this but also, presumably, they also have little or no taste for Merkin pony.
