How common are MGF / TFs?

Maybe just because i own a couple but i must have seen at least 10 today.
MX5 probably 5. Can't say i have noticed any car in such abundance. (Possibly because 3 series and A4 are so common they are invisible).

Spotted an odd ball one, BRG MGF with a big grill, a bit Aston style, not sure if it looked great or stupid. Also an MX5 painted up like a Elan. Which looked very good i thought.
