Fugly.

Why do Audi/VW insist all brands have to be in all markets?

It's not as bad as I remember it looking when I first saw pictures of it. No doubt about the interior though, very nice.

Agreed.. It makes me cry when brands dilute themselves and over-diversify.. A lot of time losing the very people that they were originally targeted at.

Exactly what I thought. Rear looks like a Niva. Maybe it's a grower like the Bangle BMWs, buy right now I think it looks horrendous.

It's ugly, other than that, what is all the fuss about - Bentley's have always been trucks.

So you genuinely think that those buying continental GTS, mulsannes etc no longer will because this is on sale and they'll go to another brand? Didn't happen with porsche and the cayenne did it?

If you think that's the case, maybe you'd better phone up Bentley and tell them you know better than their marketing department. Which clearly you do. As does everyone else on PH it seems.

Didn't Lamborghini make an SUV in the 80's?
I seem to remember something of the sort..
Yep, the LM.

£1000 per tyre for that. As I remember it was the Countach engine in there and Gen Gadaffi had one. Very economical.

I thought it looked utterly appropriate myself. Shame they bottled it. Exactly what a Bentley should be like. Massive, ghastly and wonderful.
I agree yes

Could you explain what you mean here in more detail please?

I can imagine the big Lambo now in bright orange

Honestly I don't think this looks too bad. A hell of a lot better than that Bentley thing.

I'm with you, I actually quite like that - clearly one of the new style/breeds of Lamborghini but on a different platform.

Although it looks quite small(?), looks quite similar to the Evoque.

And about a year ago I think they produced a concept 4x4 too. Seems everyone wants a piece of the action.

Barf....not much else to say really.

Even footballers know what is OK looking, do we really think even they will drive this and pull up to training and get the mick taken out of them???

Can't help thinking it looks awfully similar to a car my dad had many moons ago - the Austin 3 litre. Just squeeze the radiator grille and chop a bit off the boot!
Does this mean the thing was designed by a bunch of old f*rts?
Don't know what that square slab of plastic is doing in the centre console either.

Yup.

Just like the ML destroyed Mercedes's reputation.
And the X5 destroyed BMW's reputation.
And the Cayenne destroyed Porsche's reputation.

Oh wait.

Whilst I don't like it, I'm willing to bet you it won't hurt it's reputation. It's less of a "travesty" than porsche (sports car company) building the cayenne.... Bentley (a luxury car company) making a luxurious 4x4.
Isn't the case nowadays that it's Porsche (the 4x4 company) making sports cars?
