Owned by Chris Evans. Used to adorn his Ferrari 250GT California. Now adorns a Ghost wrapped in pink as part of breast cancer care: http://www.breastcancercare.org.uk/fundraising-eve...

Must be worth a few quid?
And when on the GTO what a combo!!

Does Evans still have the GTO?

He sold some of his collection recently and I think that was in part to find the California purchase. No idea if he still has either of his GTOs (had a 288 and 250).

I didn't notice that it wasn't the real deal, actually (the bloody badge worked then!). Weird that they stuck an S63 one on, though - surely if you're out to impress people, the S65 badge would be the wiser choice! hehe
True - perhaps he was trying to match digits 36/63 ?
Suppose the owner can't wait for Merc to launch a S360

Have seen a few recently:

84 C on a black Discovery 3

V1 NCE (misspaced (tut)) on a new FFRR

84 RB (Barb?) on a racing puma

And this:

In a suspiciously similar place to one I posted a year ago. (Even the Renault behind is there):

Shirley must be related, non?

So, what's the cheapest 'single single' on the market currently? Either way round?

can't be many on sale and most on registration sites are up for fantasy money + the inevitable vat

this is advertised as the cheapest and I think it possibly is. I would imagine anything with a high number and an X or Z should be cheaper if they come up for sale.

Anything with a letter first is usually a lot more expensive (original issue)

Good investment?

As its been for sale for years I guess it is not that liquid.

Who do you then sell it to for your profit?

The 6th Earl of Essex, Edward Egerton

seriously though you are right. Liquidity is not something number plates are renowned for.
