Used to be on an old Astra Estate, it's very local to us.

Are the Rabbits still in the garden a little further on from where you took the photo?

1 SO on a Bentley GT
99 E on a Range Rover
X 500 on a Boxster

Last one will divide opinion I'm sure...
SU13 WAY on a Zafira outside Subway restaurant in Harrogate - not mis-spaced either.

Saw a normal, dated plate in standard four - three layout earlier:

GR10 AMG on a Grey E63 AMG.

Probably not up to the standard of most on here, but it looked good smile

Guildford this afternoon.

Due to illegal spacing, I'm going to hedge my bets, and stick this in the 'other thread' too. But it made me smile a little, so is grudgingly permitted to appear in here.

can't be many on sale and most on registration sites are up for fantasy money + the inevitable vat

this is advertised as the cheapest and I think it possibly is. I would imagine anything with a high number and an X or Z should be cheaper if they come up for sale.

Anything with a letter first is usually a lot more expensive (original issue)

Good investment?
As its been for sale for years I guess it is not that liquid.

Who do you then sell it to for your profit?
Didn't that plate belong to a PH'er by the name of Lloyd? On here a lot then disappeared.

Coincidentally, it was the first time I've been into Aldershot in years, too. Picking my son up from a barbecue at a friends house at the bottom of the hill I spotted you driving down. I was slightly 'lost' in those terraced streets, and ended up heading out of Aldergrot via Weybourne, instead of the way I went in.
Had to go see my carpet layer mate who lives on that hill somewhere. Managed to get out with all four wheels still attached though.. Result! : )
Re bolts; Yeah, used to have 'em and if you look really closely I'm still using the same plates, complete with drill holes!!

Yes. Leeds based and used to see the car and the plate regularly in town.

So, what's the cheapest 'single single' on the market currently? Either way round?

It's only a guess but I'd be very surprised if a single letter Z didn't make very seious money if it ever came up for sale. As I understand it Z was originally a pre-partition Dublin plate issued at the very beginning of the last century.
Allegedly it is not possible to transfer between ROI and UK but evidence on this thread shows that it can be done.
If any were transferred pre 1922 none have been spotted by Shmee or any other plate spotter as far as I can tell.
If you want to get a handle on where prices might be, take a look at the prices being asked for old NI plates with any other letter and then a Z with a single digit. Crazy money!
