Excuse the crappy photo, didn't realise at the time that my windscreen wiper was the focal point. Plate is "TFC 1"

That second one would be good for a Ferrari FF. I believe the internal number it was given was F151.

Not sure it's suitable for this thread or the other but saw "S100P JB" spaced as such on my way home last night. A beach boys reference on a plate made me chuckle at least...

It's clever, but still crappy, I'm afraid!

It frustrates me that people think nice plates should be on nice cars. Not the case.
Hear hear!

Agreed, but I do find it odd when you see a plate that is worth more than the car that it’s on.

I reckon that's a dealership showroom/display plate.
That's annoying. There were no dealer trade plates or anything else, it wasn't a brand new A6 either.

Why....? Some of these numbers will have been in the families for years and be far more sentimental than the cars there on....! I think my plate has always been worth more than my car....! Don't forget almost all cars will depreciate were as almost all plates will appreciate....! rolleyes

I remember seeing that advertised for sale in the late 1990's for £10,000 and I was very tempted. Wonder what it's currently valued at.

How can you agree and then find it odd?!

Further to Craig's point, there is a Peugeot 307SW taxi in Nottingham with the plate 'VAL 1' - it owes the owner nothing as it's been passed through his family. Would he sell it? Unlikely but he did once refer to it as his retirement and would sell for no less than £100k.

I have his phone number and would be happy to broker a deal if anyone should be interested hehe

If you could please Rob that would be fantastic. I'm after going from the station to the hotel at 8pm. What's your best price wink

XK03 SUE on, unsurprisingly, a Jag XK.

Nice plate but sadly appears to be owned / driven by a tart that spends more time checking her make up in the rear view mirror than she does on the road ahead of her, resulting in nearly rear ending my 205 GTI 4 times in stop start traffic earlier today banghead

Has anybody ever seen CRA 19H?
I wanted to buy it in 2011 but was outbidded at the DVLA auction. Currently on a Porsche 911. Would love to see it on a car.

At a guess you wanted it to read 'CRA19 H'. No doubt if it's on a 911 it'll be displayed as 'CRA1 9ll' - with a carefully positioned white screw cap over the horizontal bar of the 'H'.

Neither way would be legally displayed, but 'CRA19 H' would be the least offensive, and least misleading

HTH wink

this little combo on the M4 this morning is I suspect a few quid.
I imagine Bankers would be interested in this perhaps?

I can see what he's trying to achieve but a little bit more work needed!
I read your comment on the iPad last night, and thought, "what the hell is he talking about!" It's only when I saw it on the big screen at work I realized.
Very good.

Love it - VAL 1 was an original Nottinghamshire issue in 1956. Great to see it not just in the same family but still local.
